MÉXICO, DF (apro).- Los mexicanos Alejandro González Iñárritu y Emmanuel “El Chivo” Lubezki, aparecen entre los candidatos a obtener el Óscar, el primero como mejor director y el segundo por mejor fotografía, ambos por la cinta “The Revenant”, que en total alcanzó 12 nominaciones. “Tierra de cárteles” del director Matthew Heineman y cuyo personaje principal es el fundador de autodefensas en Michoacán, José Manuel Mireles Valverde, está nominado a mejor documental. Con The Revenant (El renacido), González Iñárritu supera las nueve nominaciones alcanzadas el año pasado con su película “Birdman”, de las cuales ganó cuatro, incluido mejor director. En el caso de Lubezki, alcanza la nominación por tercera vez consecutiva. Las 12 nominaciones de "El renacido" son por Mejor Película, Director (Iñárritu), Cinematografía (Lubezki), Mejor Actor (Leonardo Dicaprio), Mejor Actor de Reparto (Tom Hardy), Diseño de Vestuario (Jacqueline West), Diseño de Producción (Jack Fisk), Edición de Sonido (que también contempla al mexicano Martín Hernández en colaboración con el norteamericano Lon Bender), Mezcla de sonido (John Taylor, Frank A. Montaño, Randy Thom y Chris Duesterdiek),Mejor Edición (Stephen Mirrione), Maquillaje y peinado (Sian Grigg, Duncan Jarman y Robert Pandini), y Efectos Visuales (Rich McBride, Matthew Shumway, Saon Smith y Cameron Waldbauer). En el documental Tierra de cárteles dirigida por Matthew Heineman, el personaje principal es el fundador de autodefensas en Michoacán, José Manuel Mireles Valverde, quien se encuentra preso desde hace más de un año en el penal federal de Hermosillo, Sonora. Las nominaciones fueron anunciadas la mañana de este jueves por la Academia de Cine de Estados Unidos y la entrega de premios se llevará a cabo el próximo 28 de febrero.
